This Is Happening

Introducing University & Main - a source for content relating to the arts & culture scene in Gainesville, FL. I hope to create posts, photos and video that capture everything Gainesville has to offer in entertainment. My involvements with High Dive Bar & Venue and the University of Florida College of the Arts give me insight and a behind-the-scenes look at concerts, performances and exhibitions.

The arts & culture community in Gainesville is one especially close to my heart. Moving from South Florida to Gainesville was a major transition for me. Although I was hesitant at first, I discovered a community of passionate artists and creators that shared the same interests as me. I hope my content can provide exposure to these great individuals.

As for the title of the blog... Gainesville residents will surely recognize University & Main as two of the major streets in our city. This titles serves to represent the region of Gainesville that will be covered in this blog. Most posts will focus on Downtown as well as some event coverage on University of Florida campus.
